The Shop Foreman’s primary objective is to plan, schedule, evaluation, direct and perform the repair and servicing of all Eichelberger vehicle and tractor-trailer equipment. This is a position of high responsibility and will require the ability to directly lead and manage the truck shop team to meet shop goals effectively and efficiently.
Advanced computer skills (Computerized diagnostic devices and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook)
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Must be organized and able to work independently, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Must have a valid driver license and good driving record
Class A CDL, preferred but not required
Frequent and daily lifting of 10-50lbs, occasional lifting up to 75lbs and up to 100lbs with a lift
Must be physically capable of climbing and working at heights of up to 14ft off the ground
Requires a lot of physical movements such as bending, stretching, walking, squatting, pulling, pushing, lifting and working on your feet.
Lifts, Jacks, Acetylene torch, Arc Welding, Aluminum Welding

Determine and coordinate truck shop work activities based on company mission, values, and priorities.
Keep a highly productive truck shop team by coordinating services and repairs with Diesel Mechanic and Shop Assistant based on skill level.
Inspect and monitor work area, tools and equipment.
Schedule routine service repairs and routine maintenance on vehicles and trailers.
Maintain communication with vendors and seek out best pricing for parts and supplies.
Effectively communicate with drivers regarding routine maintenance.
Monitor and maintain shop inventory including tires, fuel, oil, truck parts, and shop parts.
Recordkeeping of services and repairs utilizing Microsoft software including Excel.
Maintain good communication with shop team through meetings and by timely addressing team questions & concerns.
Establish and maintain open communication with company management team, as needed.
Oversee and ensure proper maintenance of company skid steers and generators.
Provide training to proper employees on skid steer and generator routine maintenance.
Ensure a safe work environment by provide employee safety training, correct unsafe work behavior or conditions, and ensure employees have necessary protective equipment to carry out work duties.
Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
Monitor shop hours and approve shop employee timecards by payroll deadline.
Coordinating on-call schedule with Diesel Mechanic.
Provide support to other areas of company as needed (truck wash, pressure pumps, etc.)
Keep Director of Production informed of truck shop matters.
Long distance travel will be required as well as occasional overnight stays.
